About

Making lower-carbon PCB materials a practical choice.

Two Jiva engineers at a PCB printing machine

Jiva is a UK advanced materials company working to reduce the environmental impact of electronics at the foundation of the printed circuit board.

We developed Soluboard® to offer electronics manufacturers a credible alternative to glass-fibre-reinforced FR-4: significantly lower assessed laminate carbon emissions, reduced weight, competitive pricing and a more diversified raw-material supply chain.

Sustainability has to work alongside cost, technical performance and supply continuity. Soluboard® is designed for established PCB fabrication processes and an OEM-led specification model, so the material can be adopted through existing electronics manufacturing networks.

We target high-volume products, working with customers and manufacturing partners to qualify the laminate for suitable applications: from design review and prototyping through testing and pilot builds to production qualification.

Our ambition is to make lower-carbon, glass-fibre-free PCB laminate a standard material choice, with better end-of-life recovery as an additional advantage.
